Other ways to support our work

Give a Gift of Stock or other Securities.

FACETS encourages you to consider donating stock to help sustain the organization into the future. It's quick and easy to do. Here's how!

Simply supply FACETS with the name of your broker and the amount you wish to donate to FACETS. You will then need to contact your broker and authorize a stock transfer from your account to FACETS' account. FACETS will give you the name and contact information of its broker and will ask you to pass it along to your broker. The brokerage houses will then complete the transaction.

Join an Employee Matching Gift Program.

Many employers will match charitable donations made by their employees. If your employer has such a program, you can double or even triple the size of your gift to FACETS. Contact the Human Resources office where you work to find out if your employer offers such a program.

Contribute Through the Combined Federal Campaign, United Way, or the Commonwealth of VA Campaign.

FACETS currently participates in the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFC), the Commonwealth of VA Campaign (CVC), and United Way. FACETS' code number for CFC is #42156; FACETS' code number for CVC is #8052; and FACETS' code number for United Way is #8905.

Donate Your Car!

One of the most significant barriers to finding and keeping employment for many of FACETS' clients is unreliable transportation. Many of the people who enter our programs arrive with no car or have a car that soon breaks down and is not worth the cost of repairing.

Please consider donating your car to a family or individual who is struggling to regain self-sufficiency! You CAN make a difference! Click here to read more about the car donation process.

FACETS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

What your tax-deductable donation can do: $25 could help buy shoes/boots and socks for 3 homeless people $50 could purchase 40 metro bus tokens that would enable clients to access employment, daycare, and medical appointments. $100 could sponsor field trips for youth and their mentors. $500 could send an impoverished child to camp for a week or provide a needy individual with a rebuilt computer, software, license and 8 classes of computer instruction. $1000 could provide Homework Hotspot supplies for one year, or work and school clothing for 15 homeless clients.

FACETS is putting together a donations calendar for non-perishable food items, hygiene items, household supplies and baby items. If you have a group that would like to sponsor a month to provide one of these groups of items, please contact us, or let us know if you would like any more information about the project!
