L.F. Jennings
John Martin is the Vice President of L. F. Jennings, Inc., a Falls Church, VA based general contractor. He has been involved with FACETS and mission through church and work for several years.
Sharon Walsh, Vice Chair
Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities, Inc (FADICA)
Sharon Walsh has spent most of her working career in the philanthropic sector. She is currently the Director of Operations for an international association of faith-based foundations. A long-time resident of Northern Virginia, she has focused her volunteerism on helping the marginalized and underserved in the area. She has recently taken up golf and enjoys SCUBA diving whenever the opportunity arises.
Dave Fisher, Secretary
Advance Realty Group
David Fisher has spent the last 28 years working in the commercial real estate industry and is currently employed by Advance Realty Group. Over the years, he has done volunteer work through Big Brothers, Special Olympics and coaching youth sports. Through FACETS, he began mentoring a 12 year old boy several years ago and became so impressed with what FACETS does for the low income and homeless population that he decided to become more involved and as a result joined the Board.
Joe Burke, Treasurer
Ernst & Young, LLP
Joe Burke is a CPA and Senior Manager in Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services. With his wife (Maura) and sons (Ian and Jed), he has volunteered with FACETS since 2008 in the hot meals/Sunday breakfast program and hypothermia shelter at St. John Neumann's Catholic Church. Relocated to Fairfax County in 2005, Joe has previously served the homeless at Philadelphia Committee for the Homeless, South Bend Center for the Homeless and Lincoln Park Community Shelter in Chicago, IL.
Kimberly Cole
Attorney
Kimberly L. Cole is an attorney who focuses her legal practice in the areas of employment law and commercial litigation. She has practiced at two boutique litigation firms in Tysons Corner, Virginia and was previously a corporate tax consultant at Ernst & Young, LLP in McLean. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. In addition to practicing law, Kimberly is an adjunct professor at Trinity University and Georgetown University.
Peter Everett
Blankenship & Keith, PC
Peter Everett is a trial lawyer who devotes his practice to representing persons injured by the reckless or careless acts of others. Mr. Everett represents clients seriously injured as a result of motor vehicle collisions, with special emphasis on tractor-trailer accidents, as well as individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injuries resulting from tractor-trailer crashes, defective products, motor vehicle collisions, bicycle accidents and other circumstances. He represents victims of violent crimes in inadequate security cases. Finally, Peter litigates on behalf of persons injured by defective conditions in buildings or real estate with a special emphasis on representing injured children. Peter received his undergraduate and Juries Doctor degrees from the University of Virginia.
Hal Fuller
U.S. State Department Retiree
Hal spent 40 years with the U.S. State Department and retired 5 years ago as the State Department’s Assistant Inspector General for Administration. His career was divided about equally between management consulting and program analysis on the one hand, and administrative operations in budget and finance, human resources, and facilities management on the other. As a volunteer, Hal has been involved with the social justice programs of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax (UUCF), for the past 35 years.
Amy Kankiewicz
Sapient Government Services
During her education and career, Amy established a unique balance between professional and volunteer positions. Passionate about the community and inspired to help people, she dedicates herself to her clients in the business world, and makes a tangible difference as a volunteer for crosscultural, advocacy, and family-focused organizations. She serves as Senior Manager of Business Development for Sapient Government Services, with a focus on increasing awareness and driving up revenues through skillful networking, presentations, and client relations. Amy mentors young women through FACETS’ Girl Power Program, in addition to volunteering with a number of vibrant community organizations. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Science in Social Work from the Catholic University of America.
Lauren Kirby
Turn Around, LLC
Lauren Kirby founded TurnAround, LLC in 1992 to help business clients audit, design, or redesign business-critical operations and systems. She is currently helping establish an auditing and compliance framework associated with the President Obama's national mortgage market turnaround, transformation and recovery. Lauren is a long-time volunteer with the fire department, hospice, alternative high school, and third-world causes, holding senior leadership positions over the last 20 years. She resides in Centreville, VA with her husband of 29 years, Pete Kirby.
Carla McTigue
Carla has a diverse background advocating for, teaching, and managing federal programs serving low income families and individuals. She has been an advocate for homeless families as Welfare Reform Project Director at Christian Community Action, a social service agency prodiving emergency and transitional housing in New Haven, CT. She has taught ESOL for Arlington and Fairfax Counties and various nonprofits including Northern Virginia Family Service, the Literacy Council, and St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Fairfax. In addition to her nonprofit and teaching experience, Carla has been a program analyst at the U.S. Food and Nutrition Service. Her management and analytical expertise include strategic planning, performance budgeting, program evaluation, and program development. Carla has recently become involved as a volunteer for organizations that work with populations who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
John Napolitano
The Lann Companies
John relocated from the Pittsburgh area in 1981 and lives in Falls Church. He works in the commercial real estate field and has been responsible for the management and leasing of portfolios consisting of multi-family residential, office, retail and flex space. In 1991 he formed The Lann Companies, a boutique size full service commercial real estate company. In addition to commercial brokerage, The Lann Companies is responsible for the management, leasing and construction management of a portfolio of office buildings in Northern Virginia.
Sue Nason
Susan Nason has been a resident of Fairfax for 23 years. Her FACETS involvement has included two past terms as a FACETS board member and a continuing member of the FACETS Finance Committee. Additional civic contributions have included regional board member of Northern Virginia Project Graduation, all-night alcohol free, drug free graduation celebrations for public and private high school students and activities supporting the INOVA Kellar Center during her Cardinal Bank employment.
